I started making this recipe about 7 years ago and originally made it for myself, friends and relatives. It was with their support and enthusiasm that I began going to Farmer's Markets around Wichita, Kansas.
The salsa sold so well that I eventually had to have a friend chop vegetables during the day so that I could can in the evening. After a summer of mass producing the salsa ourselves we took the recipe to a company that specializes in making other people's recipes.
Our products are now made professionally at a small company in Lawton, Oklahoma. I chose them because of their quality and their willingness to make the recipe exactly the same way that I made it and still use fresh jalapenos, peppers and onions.
We have shipped to all 50 states and definitely Iraq and Afghanistan as families are always shipping our soldiers a treat from home.
